Green with Blue Stripe Doormat. Maine float-rope was once used to tether lobster traps together in the ocean. Problem is, the rope often entangled the Northern Right Whale. To protect this endangered species, Maine fishermen have switched to safer sink-rope. Rather than sending all the used float-rope to landfills it is now being recycled into these colorful doormats.
They're tough, durable, and bring a piece of Maine history to your doorstep. Recommended for non-skid surfaces only.
Available in three sizes: Medium (approximately 18" x 30"), MediumPLUS (approximately 21" x 33"), and Large (approximately 24" x 36"). Choose from the widest variety of color options available anywhere - based on our in-stock inventory.
Because each doormat from Down East Maine is handcrafted from the authentic Maine lobster float ropes that have been pulled from the Atlantic Ocean, no two are ever quite the same, so exact colors/tones cannot be guaranteed. But, we've done our best to represent the colors we have available, and we're sure you will be delighted when you receive yours.

What a cool idea!! I saw this on the Today Show, and when my mother-in-law mentioned seeing it on the Today Show too, I knew I had to order it for her for Mother's day! The aqua color is more greenish than pictured, but I guess that's why the name is "green & ocean blue." It will still go perfectly in our lake house!
