These limited edition authentic Sailor's Bag were inspired by the time-honored craftsmanship of sailors. Each Sailor's Bag is handmade in the artist's New England studio with painstaking attention to every detail. Whether sailing across the world, or just heading to the cape for the weekend, these bags are the perfect mate for any journey.

Each bag is crafted from heavyweight 18 oz. natural cotton or hemp canvas for maximum wear and rugged durability. The vegetable-tanned Hermann Oak leather and solid bronze buckle add class seafarer style with top quality. Flat seam sewn with UV-resistant heavyweight thread and hand-stitched hitched grommets keep your Sailor's Bag in top share for years to come.

The original Sailors' Bags also feature:

• Traditional decorative knotwork -- "wall and crown" knots adorn the ends of the drawstring cord
• Intricate sailmaker's whippings finish the "wall and crown" knots
• Hand-sewn leather strap and molded leather bottom
• Leather "turk's head" slider knot

The all natural leather and canvas will have variations in color and texture may occur. To maintain the natural quality of the canvas, spot wash these bags with cold water and mild soap or baking soda for cleaning.

Vegetable-tanned leather requires minimal care. Known for its rich simplicity, vegetable-tanned leather's inherent beauty is enhanced over time, acquiring a remarkable patina as it ages. The natural oils from your hand will add to the leather's supple quality. To remove surface dirt, simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
