Elegant style with a touch of rustic, this handcrafted leather journal is not only incredibly cool, but extremely functional. The hand-torn cover bears a swirl design branded into the leather, which is chosen for it's hearty, worn look. A satin ribbon bookmark is hand-sewn into the binding to easily mark your page. Sturdy, leather straps wrap around the journal to complete the look.
Because each leather journal is completely handmade, it's as unique and creative as the thoughts, imagination, and ideas that will soon be captured within it. Your journal started with a hand-selected and hand-cut piece of leather securely glued to a heavy-weight card stock for strong structure. The binding is hand-shaped and the heavy 67 lb. ivory vellum card stock pages are hand-stitched to the leather using heavyweight binding thread. Each page has just the right amount of stretch so that it turns easily without tearing out over time and use. The heavy stock gives your handcrafted leather journal a solid feel and wonderful thickness. And, each page has been hand-torn leaving them with a slightly jagged, aged look.
The 200 unlined ivory pages are archival quality stock (acid-free and lignin-free) and have the fine, smooth finish of a parchment. Measures 6 " x 9".
Handcrafted in New Hampshire.

This is just a cool journal. Rugged toughness - I can take it anywhere and never worry about it. That wonderful smell of leather. And old-world, classic style. I just love it!!!!
I bought this journal as a gift for someone who "journals' all the time, and she loves one of a kind things, so it was a match made in heaven! The journal is soft, and looks handmade...I have to tell you,I don't journal, but I almost kept it! It could be used as a hiking, stargazing, family tree or traveling journal, or just a diary. The picture doesn't do the journal justice. I suggested upon seeing it, that the person use it to chronicle family history. It really is something you could hand down from generation to generation. If you are looking for something unusual, for those 'people who have everything" this would be the way to go.
