What is Your Eco-Friendly Number?

In other words, how much can you do to lower the number of processed items in your life so that you create less waste that goes back into landfills? What do you do in your daily life to reduce your negative affect on the world around you and how do you create a better positive affect? If you could put a value on your eco-friendly effect on the world, perhaps a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being better than one what would your number be?

One simple thing you can do to is to reduce the number of plastic bags you use when you shop. Each plastic bag you use that later goes to landfills, increases the carbon footprint of that landfill exponentially. You can help reduce your own carbon footprint by using reusable bags. That had become a common tactic used by eco-aware people.

Look around your home for other ways you can increase your eco-friendly number while reducing your carbon-footprint. Ironically, our best selling product is used for your feet right at your front door. We offer a Lobster Rope Doormat made from the ropes lobstermen no longer use to catch lobster. Instead of sending that rope to landfills, we use the colorful rope to create our doormats.

You may not think that one person can make a difference in the world, but when you think of it if one person makes just one change and tell others about it so they can make the change too. That makes two or more people making a difference in the world around them. That one small change can grow into more changes by each person that can continue to grow into a significant change for all of us.
