As makers and curators of unique coastal gifts, we are very selective on the quality of the items we'll carry.
Many a product or ideas have landed in the "no" pile - usually in a ratio of over 100 "no ways" to 1 "oh yay!"
Since we create many of the products, we have control over their quality. But, for those items we curate, we are extremely picky!
First, the item must be unique and interesting. (we love products that have a backstory!).
Next, it must pass the "would I be proud to gift this" test. This is definitely the acid test of our process. It is our goal to elevate the gifter - we need to make you look good! If we can't guarantee that, we will not carry the item.
Finally, we back all of our products with our guarantee so that you can try them out for yourself.
We really love discovering products that stop people in their tracks. Yes, that is a granite booze dispenser - very cool indeed. And, yes, those recycled rope doormats have been at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. (No, they don't smell like fish at all, although you can detect a bit of briny history in their feel).
It's fun to sell products that you love. And when you shop our products, you support family business and local economies right here in southern Maine.
